PlayBox Neo, a leading provider of media playout solutions, walked away from the 2023 NAB Show New York with a considerable uptick in future business opportunities. The company enjoyed several key meetings with potential customers and partner companies during the two-day event at the Jacob Javits Center last month.
“It was a whirlwind couple of days,” said Van Duke, Director of U.S. Operations, PlayBox Neo. “We met quite a few broadcast decisionmakers for the first time and left with many follow up calls to make after the show. We were able to see several of our existing customers while forging new relationships. We were expecting the show to be successful but were blown away by the results. It proved to us that our technology addresses what customers need as well as the overall importance of in-person events.”
PlayBox Neo solutions are based on modular products and services which can be easily customized to provide the exact capability needed for any scale of channel playout management - from ingest and scheduling right through to transmission. Demonstrations at the NAB Show New York covered the entire workflow from ingest, asset management, graphics creation, titling, subtitling, ad insertion and scheduling to playout.
NAB Show organizers reported an attendance increase of 28% from the 2022 event, with over 12,000 attendees. The conference featured nearly 270 exhibitors, including 60 first-time exhibitors, and over 225 sessions.
PlayBox Neo demonstrated the latest generation of its AirBox Neo-20 playout and IP streaming system, paired with two software modules - TitleBox Neo-20, a 4K UHD/HD CG; and Capture Suite for control of multiple live ingest channels through a single interface. All ran on the company’s Channel-in-a-Box turnkey playout server. Also on display in the PlayBox Neo booth was the ProductionAirBox Neo-20 for live production playout and Media Gateway for live media delivery and distribution.
