‘Spot the game-changer’ is an ongoing distraction for everyone in the television business, particularly in the highly competitive area of content production and transmission. With nearly a quarter decade of experience behind us, we know how to design, build and deliver solutions that are reliable, easy to install and operate, and scalable from a single IP-streamed television channel up to a global multi-platform network.
Our smart media approach to multi-platform broadcasting is about freedom of choice based on affordable modular products and services which can be combined easily to match today’s requirements and extended whenever necessary to accommodate extra channels as well as future standards. Our clients include national and international broadcasters, start-up TV channels, webcasters, interactive TV and music channels, film channels, remote TV channels and corporate information channels.
The following summary overviews the most recent additions to our range of solutions, each of which can be operated on-premises, at a remote head-end, in the cloud or as a flexible hybrid of the three workstyles.
AirBox Neo-20
AirBox Neo-20 is universal playout and IP streaming system in a Channel-in-a-Box server which can be populated with software modules selected to support every element of the TV station management process from ingest, clip editing, graphics creation and placement, text handling, scheduling and playout. It can be fully automated for round-the-clock transmission while giving staff the ability to broadcast live whenever desired. Up to four independent channels can be accommodated in a single unit occupying just 1U which can be deployed quickly and space-efficiently. Extra channels can be added simply by sliding in an additional 1U server.
Media Gateway
Media Gateway allows routing and transcoding to be performed entirely in software, offering significant savings in terms of cost, space and maintenance as well as being fast and easy to operate. Integral software codecs allow signals to be converted between multiple signal formats. Video and audio content can be sourced directly from a desktop screen and delivered as live feeds. Black-frame and frozen-frame alarms can be activated to provide automatic alerts.
Capture Suite
Capture Suite is designed to eliminate workflow congestion which can easily occur when above-average amounts of incoming content need to be processed at short notice, as commonly occurs in newsrooms and sports-related program production. Each Capture Suite server can ingest from to 16 HD channels. Content can be edited via an integral clip-trimmer or external NLE and monitors on the built-in multiviewer.
Production AirBox Neo-20
ProductionAirBox Neo-20 allows content manipulation and delivery to be performed with the near-zero latency demanded for fast-paced broadcast news, sports and live production. Features include the ability to trim or reposition every clip in a playout while the scheduled session is on-air. Commands such as next, jump or shuttle allow playout order to be modified seamlessly without interrupting the current playout session. ProductionAirBox Neo-20 can be configured to function as up to four independent players. Each player has a separate playlist and playout control. All four SDI interfaces can be assigned as a program or preview output. Single-channel or multi-channel user interfaces are available to streamline the operation. ProductionAirBox Neo-20 integrates easily with MOS-compatible solutions. Most recent of these is the recently announced agreement with SNews whose Arion software equips newsroom teams to monitor, search and filter incoming and archived content.
TS Time Delay
Designed for fully automated operation, Neo TS Time Delay can be scaled to support any required number of input channels and delayed outputs. It provides fully transparent time delay of transport streams such as DVB/ATSC MPEG while retaining the full original quality of the source content. Time delay can be preset to run in fully hands-off mode or switched at any time to alternative offsets, including a zero delay output for each input. All operating parameters in Neo TS Time Delay are easily adjusted via an integral web-based user interface, including channel-specific time offset in 15 second increments. Connectivity features include UDP/RTP input/output, unicast or multicast, via standard Gigabit Ethernet ports.
AdBox Neo
AdBox Neo enables content owners to maximise their business potential by targeting advertisements for specific audiences with ad insertion and digital program insertion in UHD/HD or SD workflows. AdBox works by receiving a GPI or cue tone trigger for the start of a commercial break or program insertion.
