Exhibit highlights will include the APAC market introduction of Media Gateway and TS Time Delay
PlayBox Neo will demonstrate its complete range of over-the-air and online channel management systems, software and cloud-based services at Broadcast Asia 2023, Singapore, from June 7th through 9th. Among new advances making their APAC market debut will be Media Gateway which reduces or potentially eliminates the capital cost of hardware routers, codecs and related devices, plus the latest-generation TS Time Delay which gives broadcast channel managers precise control over program playout to multiple time zones.
Company representatives on PlayBox Neo stand 6E1-12 at the show will include Pavlin Rahnev (founder and CEO), Desmon Goh (Managing Director, PlayBox Neo Asia Pacific), Iulian Ionescu (Regional Sales Director) and Nut Deseemer (Director, PlayBox Neo’s Thailand).
“Broadcast Asia has long been a very productive event for us, reflecting the sustained dynamism of the APAC market,” says Desmon Goh. “The show’s parallel event, Satellite Asia, makes it a doubly effective magnet for telecommunication service providers and their customers. We have plenty to demonstrate, including the newest refinements to the PlayBox Neo product series. Efficiency has long been a core requirement throughout the media industry. We offer the ability to control the entire channel management workflow, from ingest to transmission, within a single operating interface. PlayBox Neo systems can be configured from a wide selection of modules supporting video clip editing, archive management, graphics and title generation, news-crawler and prompter text manipulation, pre-transmission scheduling, file encoding and quality assurance. In size terms, they scale from a single PlayBox Neo Channel-in-a-Box to any desired combination of dedicated or shared servers, software and IP-connected services.”
“Media Gateway attracted a very high level of interest when launched at IBC 2022,” adds Pavlin Rahnev, “It allows media facility routing and transcoding to be performed entirely in software. That saves our customers money, eases the pressure on space and reduces the maintenance overhead. Media Gateway can be controlled by authorized staff directly from our unified graphic interface, increasing productivity. Video and audio content can be sourced directly from the desktop and delivered as live feeds. Additional features include an integral multiviewer with automated black-frame and frozen-frame alarms. Media Gateway richly deserved the TV Technology Best of Show award which it won at the April 2023 NAB convention in Vegas.”
PlayBox Neo’s TS Time Delay will also be introduced to the APAC market at Broadcast Asia. Designed to allow automated control of program playout to multiple time zones, it can be operated in hands-off mode or switched at any time to alternative offsets, including a zero delay output for each input. Refinements include an expanded adjustment range, now adjustable in 1 second increments up to several months. Maximum delay time is limited only by the amount of assigned storage. Multiple channel timing offsets can be controlled within a single AirBox Neo-20 server. Additional features include built-in program stream decoders and encoders plus the ability to transcode output stream parameters such as data format, video resolution and frame rate.
